Welcome to Stærevej 9

We hope that you will have a wonderful stay in our holiday home and that you will enjoy the place as much as we do. It is espe­ci­al­ly the view and the quiet at­mosp­he­re that make the house very special for us - combined with the simple, older, but cozy setting. We took over the house in April 2026 and have since been in the process of renovat­ing it and making it even nicer to be in - both for ourselves and for our guests. We hope you will feel com­fortab­le and enjoy your holiday. If you wish, you are very welcome to put the Dannebrog flag in the holder by the front door while you stay here - a cozy Danish holiday home tradition.

The higher you move up the garden of the house, the more beautiful the view becomes. One day, try to go out at the top of the garden and continue the ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 100 meters up to the area's highest point, where there are benches. From here there is a fantastic view - espe­ci­al­ly at sunset. Here you can look towards Ebeltoft and the entire cove, and Samsø can be glimpsed in the distance in the middle of the view. When you turn around, the small, cozy Handrup Church is beau­ti­ful­ly behind.

We can also recommend a short walk up Stærevej below the house. If you follow the small loop around Stærevej and Musvitvej, you get some of the area's most beautiful views along the way.

If you want to get to the beach, the fastest way is to follow Lunds­højvej all the way down to the water. Lunds­højvej meets Stærevej just below the house. The bathing jetty by the beach belongs to the lan­dow­ner­s' as­so­ci­a­tion Klithøj, of which Stærevej 9 is a part, and you are therefore very welcome to use it.

If you fancy an ice cream or a little break on a walk, the nearest place is the ice cream parlor and café at Egsmark Strand: Brødrenes Madbar – Kystvejen 137

Another place we like very much is Ebeltoft Gård­bryg­ge­ri, where you can enjoy both a beer and the beautiful view.

Just a few minutes away is the trip to Jern­hat­ten (search for "Parking Jern­hat­ten"). Here you can take a really beautiful walk along the coast through hilly terrain with great views between the trees.

If you want to visit a small and quieter beach, we sometimes bring coffee and a thermos to Fuglsøvig Beach. It is about 10 ki­lo­me­ters from the holiday home, and you can park at: Fuglsøvig Strandvej 2

If you are into football golf, Ebeltoft Football Golf is within walking distance of the house – about 750 meters away.
